Sydney has been with Appalachian State University since 2006. Prior to her coming to Appalachian she had her own accounting business in the Boone/Blowing Rock area. Since 2000 she has been involved with the Boy Scout Troop 101 in Blowing Rock as a leader and now committee member/treasurer. She is married to Ed, who has his own commercial/residental appliance repair company since 1998, All Appliance Inc. They have two boys who are Eagle Scouts.
