KUDOS, APPRECIATION, and OTHER EVENTS

I want to make special acknowledgment of Lynn Beebe's work to keep all four faculty search committees' processes in good order throughout this year.  Please join me in thanking her for her invaluable contribution to this most important of our tasks this year.

Appalachian State University and the Hayes School of Music were well represented by 33 students and faculty at the conference of the Southeastern Region of the American Music Therapy Association March 29-31. In addition to presentations by HSoM faculty members Christine Leist and Cathy McKinney, students Ryan Burdett, Lana Card, Carole Deans, Anna Johnson, Uri Reisman, and Sarah Roberts presented sessions, and Christine Leist and Sarah Roberts presented research posters. Also presenting sessions were HSOM alumnae Jessica Newsome Hoyle, '06, MMT '10 and Anne Stafford Wilkerson, '02.

With my best wishes for week thirteen of ASU's Spring 2012 semester!

-Bill
