Ms. Cassini integrates her deep understanding of musicianship with her AT teaching, addressing performance issues and the physical and mental challenges faced by musicians. She is dedicated to guiding her students as they discover and apply these new skills to their passion for music-making.

She completed her three-year AT teacher training in Amsterdam while working as a freelance Baroque cellist and cello teacher, and teaching French as a foreign language. Prior to her appointment to the Hayes School of Music in 2012, she lived and taught the AT in NYC and Boston while completing two years of postgraduate studies under Tommy Thompson at the Alexander Technique Center in Cambridge, MA.

Ms. Cassini holds a Bachelor of Music in performance and pedagogy for both Modern and Baroque cello, with a minor in Viola da Gamba, from Rice University and the Utrecht School for the Arts.
