The T-bone Strategy trombone and rhythm section from the Army Ground Forces Band will perform at Appalachian State University.

The ensemble performs jazz standards and compositions by contemporary artists. The vocal quality and timbre of the trombone allows the soldiers to create and perform challenging music normally written for other instrumentation. Since its inception, the group has strived to preserve the tradition of America's unique musical art form of jazz and fulfill the Army Band's mission of educational outreach.
