Quintessential! vocal group will perform at Appalachian State University. The free performance will be presented in Broyhill Music Center's Hayes School of Music.

Quintessential! is an ensemble of five graduate students – soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, and pianist – whose assistantship comprises the opportunity of learning, rehearsing and performing a diverse collection of repertoire on and off campus, both in the community and the surrounding region.

Members are Katherine Edahl, soprano; Sabbath Ward, mezzo-soprano; Johnny Harmon, tenor; David Clark, baritone; and pianists Monica Nordelo, Susan Slingland, Aaron Ames and Hollie Lacy.

The program includes works by Robert Schumann, Vincenzo Bellini, José María Vitier, Gioachino Rossini and Beethoven.
