NEW TIME! Students and faculty of the Hayes School of Music offer an evening of live jazz on MONDAYS during the school year. Enjoy the music or join the jam!
No jazz jam March 11 or April 22. The final session of the semester will be on April 29.
Crossroads Jazz Jams provide a space for musicians of varying skill levels to learn jazz standards, foster improvisational skills, and spread appreciation for jazz music and culture across Appalachian State University's campus.
Organized by Hayes School of Music professor Dr. Adam Booker and led by a house band of top-tier students from the School of Music, the jams are open to beginner and advanced participants alike. Spectators may also use the events as an opportunity to socialize, study, and listen to some good music.
The jam sessions take place on Monday evenings from 7-9 pm at Crossroads in Plemmons Student Union. Musicians who are interested in participating can list their name and instrument on the sign-up sheet when they arrive.

- We offer around 200 performances every year by students, faculty, and guest artists, almost all of which are free and open to the public! Crossroads Coffee House and Campus Dining
These jazz jam sessions are held at Crossroads Coffee House, which offers fresh-brewed coffee and specialty coffee beverages, fruit smoothies, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, muffins and other baked goods. Crossroads is on the first floor of Plemmons Student Union on International Hallway.
