Hayes faculty to perform at Kreeger Museum in Washington, DC
Music by Roger Tréfousse, inspired by paintings by Jack Boul
Members of the Hayes School of Music faculty will perform at the Kreeger Museum in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 7:00pm, presenting a musical suite commissioned by David Boul and composed by Roger Tréfousse, inspired by the paintings of David’s late father, Jack Boul. The paintings will be projected in sync with the original score, creating an immersive multimedia experience.
This performance follows the ensemble’s successful premiere at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum this past fall. The Kreeger Museum, designed by Philip Johnson, offers an intimate setting for this limited‑seating event.
At this time, the performance is at capacity, but music fans will have the opportunity to hear selections played on several classical music radio stations across the country.
Ensemble:
Catherine Garner (piano), Alicia Chapman (oboe), Sam Ambrose (tuba), Pedro Egeu Maia (violin), Nancy Bargerstock (violin), Eric Koontz (viola), Julie Goforth (cello) - all faculty of the Hayes School of Music - joined by guest cellist Schuyler Slack.
