Cannon Music Camp concluded last weekend with many brilliant performances by the camp's 206 students. The next weeks bring additional concerts and other activities of An Appalachian Summer Festival. LOOKING AHEAD
University Convocation will occur on Monday, August 15, at 10 am, in the Holmes Convocation Center.
Fall 2016 classes begin on Tuesday, August 16.
HSoM ON THE ROAD and AROUND CAMPUS (upcoming)
Numerous HSoM faculty and students will perform in this Friday evening's performance of the Symphony of the Mountains Summer Concert Series at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock. Featured solo performances will include HSoM faculty saxophonist Scott Kallestad and graduate student soprano Bree Jordan. Former interim conductor of the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra Cornelia Laemmli Orth conducts the evening's concert.
