CANCELED: Alumna cellist Alex Boatwright will perform in recital on Thursday, January 22, at 6 pm, in the Broyhill Music Center Recital Hall. — This recital has been canceled. Please watch for details regarding a rescheduled date.
Looking Ahead
- The annual Endowed Scholarship Recital will occur on Thursday, January 29, at 8 pm, in Rosen Concert Hall.
- HSoM faculty violinist Nancy Bargerstock and faculty pianist Rodney Reynerson perform in recital on Friday, January 30, at 8 pm, in Rosen.
- Saturday, January 31, is the third day of auditions to select the Hayes School of Music's incoming fall class of 2015.
Kudos and Other News and Events
- Bill Harbinson’s composition for brass and percussion, The Maestro’s Flourish was accepted for publication by Cimarron Music Press (CT). The composition, dedicated to emeritus music faculty Dr. William Gora, won the Dallas Wind Symphony Fanfare Competition in 2005.
