Faculty Announcements, February 15, 2016

Today was a snow and ice day at Appalachian, with all classes canceled and the University on "Condition 1" status for inclement weather. Typical of mountain weather, we'll be in the 50s on Saturday.

This week, we celebrate the achievements of alumnus Phillip Riggs, '88, Director of Bands at the NC School of Science and Mathematics, who last week was named the recipient of the GRAMMY Foundation 2016 Music Educator Award. He was chosen from over 4,000 nominations nationwide.  http://www.grammyintheschools.com/features/phillip-riggs-selected-2016-music-educator-award-recipient
