Wendy handles most purchasing activities for the Hayes School of Music through Yo-Mart and her p-card. Her responsibilities also include scheduling for the Dean and coordinating essential meetings, which significantly contributes to the organizational efficiency and success of the Hayes School of Music.
In the human resources area, she places job postings, interviews candidates, and ensures the selection process aligns with SHRA and student and non-student temporary employment policies. Wendy is also responsible for contracting faculty alongside the Dean, requiring a thorough understanding and utilization of the faculty handbook. Additionally, she monitors payroll for accuracy and timeliness and initiates manual checks when necessary to address discrepancies. Wendy's role is crucial in maintaining compliance and efficiency within the organization's staffing and payroll functions.
With a career spanning over two decades at Westglow Resort and Spa, Wendy served as Spa Director of the award winning destination spa, leading a team of 50 employees with responsibilities ranging from recruitment and scheduling to staff training and development. Wendy excelled in fostering productive relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders, contributing to the resort's growth through effective communication and strategic marketing initiatives.
