With a characteristically chilly day, Spring has officially begun. The University is closed next Monday and Tuesday, and then we'll resume activities for the last five weeks of the semester.
Faculty and Staff Business
- Attached to this announcement is the full-time faculty performance evaluation form for 2015. Tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure-eligible full-time faculty should complete the self-evaluations sections of the form and submit it to Lauren by May 15. Additionally, please speak with Lauren about scheduling an annual meeting with me to occur after submission of the form. Please try to schedule meetings for sometime before July 1. Colleagues on the tenure track or subject to this year's post-tenure review process, please watch for detailed recommendations regarding scheduling of the annual meetings.
- In the next months, the HSoM website will migrate to a new visual/organizational template that will closely resemble that of the appstate.edu home page and others. In advance of that move, we would like to update website text as comprehensively as possible. Please check any web pages that you manage or use regularly, and send the web address (URL) of any needed corrections, along with the original text with edits highlighted in red, to Anna Gaugert gaugertah@appstate.edu. Please consider text edits only at this point, and provide your suggestions to Anna by May 15.
- An informal reception for HSoM development director John Sawyer, who is leaving for a position at the University of Virginia, will be held Tuesday, March 22, at the TApp Room (421 Blowing Rock Rd.), starting at 5 pm.
- For faculty members of Pi Kappa Lambda: The Pi Kappa Lambda induction breakfast will take place May 7th at 8:30 A.M. at the Dan'l Boone Inn. The cost for the breakfast is $12.50 and annual dues are $20. Payment for both may be put in Andrea Cheeseman's box. The deadline to submit payment is April 27th. Checks should be made out to Pi Kappa Lambda.
