Honors Chorus Audition Workshop at App State

The High School Honors Chorus Workshop is returning to the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University!
Saturday, September 12, 2026, 1:00–5:00 PM
Broyhill Music Center, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC
This free workshop is designed to help high school singers prepare for the NCMEA Honors Chorus audition process. Students will spend the afternoon with Dr. Jordan M. Shomper (Director of Choral Activities) working on the audition repertoire, discussing strategies, and participating in a mock audition experience to help them feel prepared and confident.
Registration Required
Choral directors should register their students through this form and bring them to campus for the workshop. Students are also welcome to attend with a parent/guardian if their director is unable to accompany them.
