Closure

Discuss students' favorite songs, games and dances. Prompt the discussion by asking, "How is the music with instrumental accompaniment different from singing and play party games where players sing the accompaniment?" Assist students in identifying specific song and game titles, as well as dances.

Evaluation

  • Look for all students to participate in dances.
  • Look for identification of correct meter, rhythm and tonality in descriptions of music provided for dancing and in discussion about favorite music.
