Auditions and Scholarship Awards
All students entering a degree program in the Hayes School of Music must successfully complete an audition. Read more about the auditions here. Scholarships are awarded to students based on the results of their audition. If you have questions about auditions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The final audition day for the year is February 19.
We offer undergraduate degrees in Music Education, Music Industry Studies, Music Performance, and Music Therapy, as well as a music minor and certificates in performance and jazz.

The Hayes School of Music prepares young musicians for professional lives as performers, composers, music educators, music therapists, conductors, and music industry professionals, ensuring the next generation of musical leadership for the state, region, and nation. Noted for quality instruction by national and internationally recognized faculty musicians, the school offers four undergraduate degree programs and two graduate level degree programs.
The Hayes School of Music also engages the local and regional community with more than 190 concerts each year, giving students valuable performance experience. The school offers summer workshops for teachers, year-round musical instruction for people of all ages through the Community Music School and the renowned Cannon Music Camp for outstanding high school musicians.
