Welcome to the Community Music School at Appalachian State University! We offer group programs, ensembles, and private lessons for all ages. Tuition assistance options are available for our lessons and classes.

Programs are in session - check out our Spring 2024 offerings and plan to join our programs for Fall 2024!
CMS does not offer any summer lessons or classes. High school students can check out Cannon Music Camp for a comprehensive summer music experience!
Registration is currently closed and will reopen in August. Due to our summer break, responses from the CMS office may be delayed during the May-July period, and we are not able to accept pre-registrations/lesson reservations during this time.

The Community Music School is a non-profit organization that proudly serves Boone and the surrounding communities by making the musical arts accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds.
