Private Lessons

Private Lessons

Develop a lifelong passion for music! The Community Music School offers private music instruction in piano, voice, guitar, violin, viola, cello, flute, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and drum set/snare. Lessons are individually tailored for students of all ages and levels. Our faculty will teach fundamentals of the instrument, proper technique, and additional musicianship skills while exploring a variety of repertoire.

Lessons will be held online during Fall 2020. Registration is easier than ever: lessons are available in semester packages of 14 lessons for returning students, and payment plans and tuition assistance are available. New students may register for a shorter lesson package.

Private lesson registration is open through September 4 for returning students. New students may join throughout the semester. You may start your lessons as soon as you have registered and submitted your Consent Packet. Fall lessons must be completed by December 11.

Lesson Policies

24 hours’ notice is necessary to reschedule a lesson without penalty.

A lesson missed with no notice or less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered a no-show, and the missed lesson will be charged as a normal lesson.

If a student is late, the teacher will still need to end the lesson at the original ending time. A teacher will wait 10 minutes for a late arrival before marking the lesson a no-show, which will be charged as a normal lesson.

Recitals

The CMS sponsors end-of-semester recitals twice a year. Students have the opportunity to perform at these recitals as a celebration of their accomplishments during the year. Students will perform at the discretion of their CMS teacher.
