Nicholas Hathaway is currently a graduate assistant in the tuba-euphonium studio at Appalachian State University under the instruction of Dr. Samuel Ambrose. Nicholas has taught privately at all levels of experience and has also worked with marching bands from the middle school to college levels. He is also actively performing with multiple groups within the Hayes School of Music and occasionally performs with other professional groups in the surrounding area. Regarding his teaching philosophy, Nicholas says: “I firmly believe that music is an essential portion of every student's education and everyone should be involved with it in some way. My goal is to foster my students' love for music and to help them become the best versions of themselves they can be.”
